21 year old wins World Series of Poker

The youngest ever poker player wins the World Series of Poker. Joe Cada, at 21 years old and a university drop out has proved the value of experience over studying in order to win a big poker title.

Having played poker with friends for many years, Cada was eagerly awaiting his 21st birthday so that he could complete in the tournament.

And the experience of such a large and prestigious tournament surely did not disappoint. Cada experienced the highs and the lows over his ten days of play in a field of 6500 players. With sessions of up to 12 hours at a time, it must have been an arduous feat for a newcomer at the event. From a starting position of chip leader, to being nearly knocked out by the eighth day, Joe had to battle his way back into the running.

His hard work paid off when he won the tournament with a pre-flop. Cada said "I was kind of too scared to look so I just had my back turned, hoping it would work out for the best."

It surely did. And goes to show that experience and perseverance can pay off.

One of the best kept secrets in the online poker game is the opportunity to claim rakeback and refer your poker friends to rakeback sites, earning yourself monthly commission.
